Picture Tour!

So I was sitting here drinking my homemade hot chocolate spiked with Malibu (oh yeah. great combo) and I decided that it was about time to get some photos up! So, for your viewing pleasure...MY LIFE!

The Bratislava Zoo! It was Peugeot Day, so we got in for freeeeee! This is their map. I like it because it has pictures! Very easy to follow.

A ropes course! We were pretty certain it was meant for children, but there were no children around because they were being entertained by an inflatable castle and a team of dancers with a rapper (make sense to you? didn't think so) so we took advantage!!!

Obviously a bit harder than it looks, but we managed to stay still long enough for Anki to take our picture!

At this point we had attracted a crowd and the small children were laughing hysterically at us. Especially Sarp and Jacob, since they weigh more and therefore make a bigger display of losing their balance.

Traipsing along the path! For being a small city, The Bratislava Zoo is actually a good size. We spent a good 3 hours wandering around.

LIONS. Typical male. Sunning and exposing "himself" to his woman. "Look at me! Look at me!" She does not look amused.

The Zoo also has a Dinopark! This is not as cool as it sounds. Its like going to a museum outside, but with creaky robots because they have been overexposed to the elements. Yeah. We did get a kick out of this guy though!

Anki: HELP ME HELP MEEEEE!
Me: GODZILLA!!!!!!!

I obviously dont mind being eaten by a prehistoric carnivorous monster.

The boys were not amused with us, nor did they partake in the fun. Party poopers.

EMUS!

CAMELS! (these rocks were their only barrier? does it look like a deterrent to you? you're right, me neither.)

Taking a break for a picture posing session. (hint: Erin is portraying an animal from her homeland)

GIRFAFFE! (yes, i know that is not the correct spelling. that is how one of our kids in Sunday School used to say it though, and it has stuck, because it is just that damn cute. kind of like, basgetti for spaghetti)

Weirdo birds.

My Fellow Zoo goers on their way up the hill to see the Rhinos, Kangaroos and other wildlife.

The view. I wonder if the animals appreciate it too?

Going out after enjoying a "warm up" at Pedro, Nadja, Beatriz (newbie from Spain!!) and Guillame's (unidentified French guy) place. They just secured this great newly renovated flat right behind Obchodna Street. So convenient!

This was a lovely picture of Erin getting closer to her homeland. Pedro decided it needed more 'life' and added his tongue. Thank you.

Again with the antics! Cute though :)

We are all relatively certain that the number of pictures that exist of Jacob making a normal face can be counted on one hand.

See what I mean?

It's impossible!

I can attest to the fact that Jacob is very handsome when not making faces. How many zoos in the world have you Seen Elise? No wonder you are in love with a man who loves animals as well. Maybe your real calling is also animal related. When you read "Water for Elephants", were you tempted to run away with the circus?
