Time for Winter!

We had our first official snow of the day! I can't believe that it is now "winter time"...even though that officially doesn't happen until December. As icing on the cake, they have been constructing a Christmas Market in the city center, complete with an ENORMOUS tree, lights through all the alley ways, and kiosks that will be selling knick knacks, mulled wine and klobasa! I love every season for different reasons. Time to celebrate!

Glad you will have had the opportunity to experience Bratislava through all four seasons. The celebrations, decorations, and changes in the climate, habits and attitudes are all important aspects of life in any city or country. They are part of what makes each place on earth unique. Savor them, keep the best of each that you experience, and share them with everyone. We all benefit from the diversity.

... and when you've savored as much as possible, here's an early welcome home present. Don't spend it all in one place :-)

Having you home again will be a gift to me. I hope you will appreciate my gift to you. I am organizing your gazillion boxes of stuff so it will be ready for the next transition. May I use your empty shoe boxes for a first grade project?

Do refer the fact that we had the chance to experience the 2 extreme reactions about the snowing fact: the aussies were all like "OMG OMG OMG" and the nordics were :yeah, it's snow...soooo?!?" Loved it!! :)
